Tsumori Chisato is a Japanese designer who got her start with Issey Miyake in the late 70s. She later started her own eponymous line, which embodies “kawaii,” the culture of cuteness in Japan. She is famous for her use of bright colors, playful designs and quirky prints, which are often of her own artwork. This little striped, military-style jacket has much of that spirit in its details - from the cropped cut to the buttons to the sweet gather in back. It would look great simply over jeans and a t-shirt.
